DeoxysPrime

DeoxysPrime is a regular member of IGN's Vestibule board. His current icon is pictured above.

History

Registering on December 31st, 2003 (although a member on the IGN Boards on various other accounts since 2001), DeoxysPrime has become one of The Vestibule's more controversial users. His use of pink text and anime babe icons have become quite infamous on the board, and have drawn accusations of being an attention whore, though those close to him know better.

Noteworthy threads of his include the Pokemon Personality Guide (a database of Pokemon corresponding to various dates of the year; a user would be matched with a Pokemon and its personality type corresponding to their birthday); his series of ranking threads which featured users ranked alongside various other things (such as Nintendo games, Pokemon, and episodes of Futurama); and a series of threads known as N64 Nostalgia (which took a look back on over 20 memorable N64 games in celebration of the system's 10th anniversary).

Currently DeoxysPrime is enjoying a more laid-back approach to the boards, with less emphasis on themed threads and more casual posting, as he feels putting effort into threads is ultimately a waste on a board like The Vestibule. However, he is currently the Vesti's official MU maker (taking over for Koole), and is also the unofficial poster of daily Smash Bros. site updates.

Trivia

• His username is derived from Deoxys, the 386th Pokemon, and Prime, which is a reference to the Nintendo GameCube game, Metroid Prime.
• DeoxysPrime's favorite video game is the Nintendo Wii title The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which has recently overtaken his previous favorite game of the last 10 years, Super Mario 64.
• He waited several hours in the cold in front of Wal-Mart on launch day for his Nintendo Wii console.
• Was a former member of the now defunct IGN group, Team Sonic. His role in the group was that of Amy Rose (his first choice was Shadow the Hedgehog, but it had already been taken).
• He posts in pink because it is "the color of my Rose". Contrary to popular belief, DeoxysPrime did not start posting in pink merely to bring attention to his posts, but to match his icon and in keeping with the style of other Team Sonic members who also posted in color. He kept the font change even after Team Sonic disbanded because he enjoyed using it.
• He was the instigator of the Star Wars Riot on The Vesti, which took place in April of 2006.
• He was lasted adopted by KennedyKills. Previous adopters of DeoxysPrime included Duben and Raiden_Fan.
• DeoxysPrime is an avid icon maker for IGN, with a current total of 629 icons uploaded to the site.
